"Old Nick" 1946 Aveling-Barford T Class 6 Ton Steam Roller Serial No: AG760. This was one of the last Steam Rollers to be built in the United Kingdom. First sold to Kings Lynn Dock and Railway Co. in 1947 and remained in their service until 1962. This was the standard design adopted after Aveling & Porter were purchased from the receiver by Barford Brothers in 1932. Ruston and Hornsby finance was involved and engines built after the acquisition of Aveling & Porter were built to a Ruston design. |
